With only 2 members, no name, no shows, no gear and nothing to write about except teenage rebellion, 'so-called' lost love's and under age drinking, founders Adam Hollywood & Matt Rudduck set off to form what would become RuinGloria.
With Ads on (7 string) guitar and Ruddick on (home made) drums, they began like any other band by playing covers, writing and seeking out other musicians to complete they're outfit.

In 2003, after nearly a year of bad luck, still no name, still no shows and a horrible string of try-outs, they finally came across a drummer that had only been drumming about a year and had never been in a band. Unsure of what to expect they rocked up with they're gear eager to try out little Timmy, a skinny tattooed kid from their home town that was prone to drumming in his undies. Hitting it off the moment they met and then moulding beautifully in they're music tastes & creative drive they immediately enlisted him as drummer.

Next came bass, now personally I think the best place to find a good bass player is in a car, travelling at a fairly medium pace, listening to Barbera Sreisand whilst thieving the remainder of some innocent civilians dinner. That’s right! Ads met Dean at the fabulous establishment still to this day known as Pizza Hut. After running into each other, exchanging compliments of one and others clothing styles, choice of cigarettes, preferred dipping sauce and tastes of music Ads decided to let Dean come along to a rehearsal & see what he thought. Needless to say they hit it off; he was the perfect musical fit to the now almost complete line-up, only one thing left boys!! vocals...

The next 2 & a half years were spent searching everywhere for a fitting vocalist, trying out guys, girls, people who sang in different languages, people who screamed, people who rapped, pretty much everything except the one thing they were looking for came through that rehearsal studio.

By now the band had been through a lot, almost 3 years of no shows, still no name and still no singer, Ads decided to take a break and pursue other musical interests. After spending about 6 months with another band and realising that what he already had was much more special he agreed to give it one last crack.
With a new attitude, more determination than ever and all they're heads honed in on the same goal, they started everything again from scratch, although with still no singer Ads took it upon himself to attempt to learn how to sing and began writing.
In getting back together the band name RuinGloria was created from an idea to break down barriers of beauty and superficialism and concentrate on whatever it is that makes you yourself happiest, like it did with the band getting back together and realising what was most important to them and just going for it, they decided that they wanted people to realise that the only things that really matter are the things that make you smile, for them it was rockin!

Now with more & more focus of getting into what they were doing, the band had more shows to follow, many more bookings, more writing and eventually the recording of they're debut EP 'Meet My Maker'

Then Dean cryed emotionally and moved to Keys and Guitar, leaving some big shoes to be filled for the position of Bass, along came Chris Wall, the newest and most lovable BFG the world has ever seen!!
